This Godless Endeavor - mp3

Talk about being on a roll ---- First Nevermore remixes 'Enemies of God,' giving it a much-improved sound, and then they crack forth with a rip-roaring collection of new tunes with 'This Godless Endeavor'. Between the drums and guitarwork, the music here is extremely tight-packed, with the tasty axework providing for tons of flowing rhythms. Very "catchy," as much as Nevermore's brand of thrash/power can be. I have a sneaking suspicion that many a Nevermore fan will be sporting a big' ol grin over this one....
The rapid and striking verses of "Born" are seamlessly blended with a melodic chorus, "My Acid Words" induces steady head-moving in the listener, and "Final Product" is another strong cut.
And speaking of strong cuts... the eight-plus minute title-track opus is full to the brim with ripping and slicing riffs. Want more? Sliding guitar work is paired with another admirable chorus in "Medicated Nation," "A Future Uncertain" is good, and the slower "Sentient 6" has some excellent Warrel Dane singing in the chorus.
