Black Metal from Sweden, Naglfar brings a fast and thrashy approach that is implemented by occasional breaks into a rhythmic groove of sorts. Not quite as flowing or semi-"commercial" as BM bands such as Immortal and Dimmu, but head and shoulders above many others out there, in sheer terms of talent and execution.
Excellent atmosphere is displayed midway through "12th Rising," with "The Brimstone Gate" showcasing a steady sway. Other solid tracks include "Embracing the Apocalypse," "Into the Cold Voids of Eternity," and "When Autumn Storms Come." 'Diabolical' is a solid addition to the collection.
