The songwriting really improves here on this second effort. The songs aren't quite as up-tempo as on the first album, though it's just as heavy--and actually has more character to it. There seem to be more grooves intermixed, which at high volume allow for some decent headbanging (of the slow, pounding sort). Many solid songs, including "This is Fear", "Steamy Swamp Thing", "Feed", "16 Ways to Go", "I Slip Away, and "Mockingbird".
HOT CHOPS: This album builds a lot of mood and atmosphere. "Steamy Swamp Thing", "16 Ways to Go", and "Mockingbird" all start out slow, but then build up and really grind. Check out the strong vocals right around the one -minute mark in "Mockingbird".
