Mob Rules--Savage Land ('99 Limb)

Rain Song--RealAudio
A "smooth" power metal band, as the distortion isn't exactly to-the-edge crunch. Solid work, however, as there are shadows of bands such as Angra, a little Stratovarius, and so forth. Very good, intricate songwriting.
Vocally, you have a mix between the standard European high/clear vox, with a smooth/bite blend ala Mike Tramp, perhaps.
Nearly every song stands out in one way or another-- which is what makes this disc a good overall listen. The top spots include the sharp, biting notes of "Rain Song," and the paced "Hold Back the Light," with its bobbing high-hat work.
Solid flow tracks show up in the forms of "Coast to Coast," "Pray for Sunlight," and "Insurgeria," while faster cuts surface with "Savage Land Part I," "Down in Nowhere Land," "Secret Signs," the thick "Savage Land Part III," and "Blaze of First Warning's" slashing style.
