Morgana Lefay - Sanctified (1995/Black Mark)
Rating - 8.5

Time is God--mp3

The band bounces back from its somewhat mediocre second release with a splendid slab of metal. The consistent ass-kicking resumes, as the boys toil once more in the land of slide-and-crunch power doom.
The strong, slow-moving pace of "To Isengard" evokes images of Tolkein's land, while "Sorrow Calls," though a very atmospheric track, still retains its heaviness. "Mad Messiah" is a nasty treat, "Time is God" is a sliding grindfest, and "Where Insanity Rules" has a stop-and-go framework.
Other good cuts include "Another Dawn" and "Shadows of God".
A very underrated power metal band.
