Kiss the Demon--RealAudio
A nice return to the classic Fate style-- consistently evil and driving, and packed with riffs and rhythms. King Diamond may be showing the first few signs of slowing down singing-wise, as he doesn't go off on quite as many roller-coaster vocal runs as usual. But he can still hit the high notes when he needs to... not to worry! A solid release through and through... All hail the King!
The dark and heavy "Church of Saint Anne" shows shades of Sabbath, and has a patented pickup drive. Riffs and high-hat bashing fuel "Sold My Soul," while a note-groove drive bolsters "Buried Alive".
A nasty chorus is pure bliss in "Kiss the Demon," while the solid "Burn in Hell" and fast-paced "House on the Hill" are yet two more cuts which will bring evil grins to the faces of the fans of old.
Easily some of the Fate's best work this decade.
