An interesting and enjoyable little collection of covers, right before the band's downward spiral would begin. Some thrash gems and some metallized punk dot this release, with the "Breadfan"-ish "Helpless" starting things off in fast fashion. The slow lurk and churn of "The Small Hours" is a highlight, as it moves to a fast pulse in the middle and then back again to sludge.
"The Wait" has a great driving beat, and the punkish sounds of "Crash Course" give a little more insight into the band's early influences.
