Metal Church--The Human Factor (1991)
Rating--7.5
In Mourning--RealAudio
Matching a previous album is hard anytime, but the boys rip through with
grace. Intros intros intros. What can I say? These guys grab and don't
look back. Finding a bit of recognition with singles "Date With Poverty" and
the title song, Metal Church forged on, only to be dropped again by their
label. One reason from a record label: "They're too heavy for us!" One word: Waaaah! Quit your
bitchin', label-boy. That right there should be incentive enough to check these guys out...
Highlights--The intro guitars in the title track are to be reckoned with! Your head won't
stop on "Date With Poverty" (rude riffs!) or "Flee From Reality". "When In
Mourning" kicks in around a minute into the song, but don't worry about looking at the time
counter--you'll know it when it hits, bucky...
