Metal Church--Hanging In The Balance (1993)
Rating--8.4

No Friend of Mine--RealAudio
Savage. Getting better with every album is not reason for break ups, but alas this was to be Metal Church's swan song....but what an effort! Heavier than their previous discs, this is a must for any fan of Flotsam & Jetsam or Armored Saint. Every song sticks it to you, sometimes just barely missing the crotch. Not for the weak of heart.
Upon making your fine selection, play track four first (make sure the neighbors are gone) and move the furniture. Holy metal, Batman! This disc may be a little hard to find, but well worth the effort.
The entire song "No Friend Of Mine" rips. Don't get caught in that mosh pit without protection for the ol' balzac, as I'm sure there are some who have found that out the hard way. "Down to the River" comes full force, with no intro. Just pure moshing fancy. Listen to all of "Waiting For A Savior" before dissmissing it as a Metallica-esque ballad. Even writing--I think I'm going to get my disc player ready...
