City Boy Blues--RealAudio Louder Than Hell--RealAudio

Though a bit more commercial in nature, certainly not a sellout. The only "ballad" is "Home Sweet Home," and it stays away from all the gushy love that hair bands would delve into later in the decade. In any case, another smoldering work from out of L.A.
You'll find that the riffs aren't quite as heavy or sharp, but the song structures remain solid-- good hooks, and especially strong choruses. There's not a song on here I don't like, though the commercial success and replays of the aforementioned "Home Sweet Home" and "Smokin' in the Boys Room" grew a bit tiresome back in '85-'86.
The kick-it riff in "City Boy Blues" is rythmic, driving, and solid. If it had been recorded with the 'Shout at the Devil' distortion, it could have been a classic.
"Save Our Souls" has the darker feel that highlighted the previous release, and "Fight For Your Rights" has strong slide-metal guitar work after each chorus. Watch out for "Louder Than Hell" and "Tonight (We Need a Lover)," as well...
