Too Young to Fall in Love--RealAudio
This was the live release that was planned shortly after the 'Dr. Feelgood' tour, but because of vocalist Vince Neil's departure from the band the collection was
shelved. Yet another drawback to Neil's untimely decision, as this set would have likely gone double platinum or so had it come out in the early '90s. As it stands, the
Crue lost almost all of its momentum ten years ago, and now finds itself in a position of trying to relive past glories (and the monetary rewards that are coupled with such
fame). The band's latest studio release 'New Tattoo' showed some swagger and promise, so perhaps an encore is in store afterall...
A good sound and quality to
all of the tracks; this is a professional-sounding release, and not something that was just thrown together. Disc one contains selections from the band's earlier stages, with
the highlights being "Knock 'Em Dead Kid," "Too Young to Fall in Love," "Live Wire," "Ten Seconds to Love," "Piece of Your Action," and "Starry Eyes".
Disc two
picks up with 'Theater of Pain' and after, featuring such cuts as "Wild Side," "Girls, Girls, Girls," "Home Sweet Home," and "Kickstart My Heart".
There are several
songs where Neil bites off his words, and the vocals are a bit rushed and even skipped in some places. But these occasions aren't rampant, thankfully, and the bulk of
the material rocks in fine fashion.
