Mr. Big--Lean Into It (1991)
Rating--7.1

Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy--RealAudio
A supergroup with great musicianship. At the same time, very toned down from the members' respective past projects, which include guitarist Paul Gilbert in Racer X and bassist Billy Sheehan with the David Lee Roth band.
Great, smooth vox, and later will show a penchant for nice slow, ballad-type work--though there are plenty of rockers on this release.
A nice overall mix here, as the band shows blues chops, some raunch, and then just solid hard rock. "Never Say Never" and "A Little Too Loose" both remind a little of Badlands, whereas "Road to Ruin" and "My Kinda Woman" show heavier marks.
Strong choruses and smooth flows highlight "Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy," "Green-Tinted Sixties Mind," and "CDFF-Lucky This Time."
The band's biggest hit came in the form of the all-acoustic "To Be With You," with splendid vocal harmonizing. In all, this is probably the band's most complete effort.
