Manowar--The Triumph of Steel (1992)

The Power of Thy Sword--RealAudio
Manowar picks the pace back up on this release, which is its fastest and heaviest to date. Nice
double-bass work is incorporated, and the guitar cuts are razor-sharp. In fact, the overall improved talent of the band is clearly
evident. The themes are the same, and these combinations are sure to please many a Manowar fan.
Highlights include "Metal Warriors," "Ride the Dragon," "Spirit Horse of the Cherokee," "The Power of Thy Sword," and the
driving rhythm of "The Demon's Whip". Also included is the 28 minute epic "Achilles Agony and Ecstasy in Eight Parts." Some
nice stuff in it, but probably a bit drawn out.
