The band is still searching for some consistency at this point in its career, with this its second release. The songwriting is spotty, with many songs being rather slow and plodding. However, the themes that will dominate the Manowar catalog are in full swing.
"Gates of Valhalla" was an early staple for the band, and the building track is still occasionally pulled out live. "Revelation" has a nice little galloping rhythm, and "March For Revenge" has its moments as well.
