Goodbye Utopia--RealAudio

There are some very Dokken-like vocal tendencies and melodies to be found here, and Jeff Pilson actually sounds a good bit like Don Dokken at times, in fact. The music is sassy in places (for lack of a better word), but still very distorted and vibrant. In making comparisons, it's not as heavy as Lynch Mob, and not as compact as the '80s Dokken material. But this is a refreshing, consistent release, finding its own niche in many ways.
The crawling, creeping drive of "Breath & a Scream" opens the album, with "Beast in the Box" having a contagious chorus and rhythm.
"Goodbye Utopia" has an excellent bump and sway, with all of "Vaccine," "Zero the End," "The Evil That You Are," and "Inner View" making their marks.
