Lana Lane--Queen of the Ocean (1999/Limb)
Rating--6.9

Night Falls--RealAudio
Lana Lane is a female singer who names Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart as top vocal influences, though to her credit her voice is actually more majestic than those two ladies. The music has a symphonic feel to it, and reminds a bit of Ayrean (whom she has sung for) and Erik Norlander's work--who contributes a great deal to this disc. The distortion could be more consistent here, however. It will get heavier in the future...
Top tracks include "Night Falls," "Frankenstein Unbound," "Souls of the Mermaids," "Rainbow's End," and the live bonus cut "Symphony of Angels".
