Cry of a Restless Soul - mp3

This is the second release from the Swedish band, and an gradual but definite improvement over their debut. It’s full of expansive and creative power metal tunes with a mystical feel about them. The music and themes are akin to Dream Evil, and while it’s not quite as thick, the music is faster and has more keys. There’s good lead guitar work throughout, as this is a disc that really grows on you.
"Again Will the Fire Burn" is a strong mix of powerful music and melody-laden vocals, and galloping guitars highlight "Cry of a Restless Soul." The nearly 12 minute long "Highlander" has tons of good parts, with other top spots being "Think Not Forever," "Pure," and "Lost in the Depths of Me."
One down note is that this is apparently lead singer Daniel Heiman’s swansong with the group.
