George Lynch--Will Play For Food (2001/Sacred Groove)
Rating--8.5
Love in Your Eyes--RealAudio
This compilation CD has numerous tracks compiled from tribute albums, unreleased Lynch Mob sessions, guitar-disc features, and so forth. Lots of goodies, and
a nice buy for the Lynch/Dokken fan.
Among the covers, "He's a Woman She's a Man" romps along nicely, Rush's "Anthem" is good, "Panama" (with Jani
Lane) is pure rip, "Flying High Again" is chuggy and smooth, and the Vince Neil-sung "Paranoid" is strong.
"Goin' Down" is a cut taken from the first Lynch Mob sessions,
while "Love in Your Eyes" and "Love Finds a Way" were originally featured on the Japanese version of the second Mob offering.
"Tears of Sahara" is an instrumental
in the vein of Lynch's 'Sacred Groove' disc, and has song emotional and passionate playing. "Satan's Shorts" is another instrumental, this one with the Mob's rhythm
section backing Mr. Scary.
