This release comes some five years after the band's 'Programmed' effort. More of the same power/prog slant, though with a somewhat updated, semi-technical feel. The vocals stay in the early Tate-like vein.
A steady, rhythmic snake drive moves "Bitter Taste," and "Watch Me Feed" is a strong and cutting track.
"Your Favorite God" has some good, soaring vocals, and other solid selections include "Down," "Walking Wounded," and the slower-paced "Meaning".
