Labyrinth--Timeless Crime (1999/Metal Blade)
Rating--7.8
Out of Memory--RealAudio
A four song (plus one) EP, as Labyrinth brings across a strong Italian symphonic style, along with flashes of edged power/prog
(ala Jag Panzer, Elegy, etc.).
"Save Me" and "Out of Memory" are
the two top listed highlights, as the band blends rapid drums and fretwork with tight overall playing. A super-bonus shows
up in the way of a hidden track, Sanctuary's "Die For My Sins". Ohhhh, what a ripping gem!
Labyrinth have other releases, and are one of many strong European bands really beginning to surface.
TRACK LIST: Save Me/Out of Memory/In the Shade/Falling Rain/Die For My Sins (hidden)
