Blood Brother--RealAudio
A six-track disc that showcases various sides of the band--all of which are impressive. Opener "Outta My Bed" is real nice blues-metal with a solid beat and riff. Real nasty, ala The Cult and L.A. Guns--but even meaner. Mesmerizer "In Trance" has a.... you guessed it! Scorpions feel (circa early '80s). Great guitar, vocal, and drum work--each standing out at different points. A solo that really jumps at you adds to the overall mystic feel of the song.
The third rocker is the album's best track--"Blood Brother". After a yearning vocal intro, a massive beat and rhythm ensue. Excellent layered vox throughout, and check out that mean crunch section at the end!
The lighter side of the band's expanse shows us shades of Enuff Z'Nuff and Saigon Kick, as the title song has a light acoustic-rock feel to it. Both "Walking With a Dead Girl" and "Drop in the Ocean" contain great vocal harmonies, and are along the same lines as 'Devil' and 'Water'-era Saigon.
An extremely refreshing and impressive collection of tunes from these smooth-but-tough rockers; grab it if you can find it.
