Kreator - Pleasure to Kill (1986/Noise)
Rating - 7.5

The second release from Mille Petrozza and company, this shows the German thrashers sporting a fast and frantic approach on a few songs, ala early Slayer. There are lots of rampant and running solos, with gravelly, semi-death vocals throughout. The tracks get a bit chunkier as the selections progress, but no matter the speed this is still safely classified as '80s/classic thrash.
Solid time and rhythm changes mark the title track, with more shifts and changes appearing in "The Pestilence". "Carrion" has some good midtrack chugging, and both "Death is Your Savior" and the thicker "Riot of Violence" are good.
A decent release; the band will improve in the future.
