Kreator - Extreme Aggression (1989/Noise)
Rating - 7.7

The German band is still thrashy, but also definitely more refined at this point of their career. Notes are intermixed with the standard thrash chords, creating some Megadeth-like tendencies at times. Decent thrashing fare, but not a landmark album in the genre (though the band themself has left an indelible mark, to be sure).
Solid moments include "Don't Trust," the Slayer/Seasons feel of "Some Pain Will Last," and the great time and rhythm changes in "Fatal Energy". Other good cuts are "Love Us or Hate Us," "Bringer of Torture," and the frantic paced "Betrayer".
