Calling Dr. Love--RealAudio
A number of solid tracks, despite having only a few out-and-out notables. The second Kiss release of 1976, as the band continues its all-out assault on the rock world (and merchandise industry, what with the cartoon and action figures).
A number of sharp edges buried beneath the surface, including the smoking intros to both "Makin' Love" and "Baby Driver". "I Want You" features a great Paul-led chorus, and "Calling Dr. Love" is classic Gene---one of his best. "Hard Luck Woman" may be the best known track off the disc, but has soured a bit to my ears after hearing Garth Brooks cover it...
HOT CHOPS: The guitar pulloffs at the beginning of "Dr. Love," and the overall massive chords! Man, that stuff smokes!
TRACK LIST: I Want You/Take Me/Calling Dr. Love/Ladies Room/Baby Driver/Love 'Em and Leave 'Em/Mr. Speed/ See You in Your Dreams/Hard Luck Woman/Makin' Love
