Kiss--Alive (1974)
Rating--8.2
**U.S. Sales Certification--Gold**
Great energy from the early part of the Kiss catalog, as this would be the album that really put the band over the top. The cuts
from the first couple of albums truly shine here, as they are given a chance to flow and breathe---for the most part due to the updated
distortion sound. Therein lies your highlights, with "Deuce," "Strutter," "Hotter Than Hell," "Cold Gin," "Firehouse," "C'Mon
and Love Me," and "She"
all pulsing with improved intensity.
A benchmark album in the formation of the "arena" attraction of metal acts.
