Kin--Behind Closed Doors (1998/Blackpaw)
Rating--6.0
Give Me--RealAudio
Not really metal; more along the lines of light hard rock. Reminds at times of Heart, but the sounds that come through the
strongest are those of Allanah Myles (sp?)---nice bluesy rock, with thick chords and emotional vocals.
Groove chords
come through strong on "Plaything" and "Give Me," with the slow and seductive "Big Girl" being a winding treat, as is
"Early in the Morning".
A nice selection for those who really dig female vocals (think Phantom Blue,
along with the above-mentioned Myles), even though the distortion isn't in-your-face. You can just picture these lovelies and their
blues-based tunes
bringing down the house in bars of all types...
