Keel--The Final Frontier (1986/MCA)
Rating--6.1
No Pain No Gain--RealAudio
Very Kiss-like rock in places, with thick chords and choruses. Vocally Ron Keel is a bit of a mix
between throaty singers Blackie Lawless and Kip Winger.
"Rock and Roll Animal" is good and driving, as is the churning
"Raised on Rock". "No Pain No Gain" is a riotous track, and "Arm and a Leg" is energetic as well. A suprisingly good cover
of Springsteen/Patty Smith's "Because the Night" also graces the disc.
A good pickup for the '80s fan; a bit hard to find on disc.
