King Diamond--Abigail II: The Revenge (2002/Metal Blade)
Rating--7.9

Slippery Stairs--RealAudio
King Diamond revisits the storyline of his 1987 staple, and this release is pretty much par for the course, musically. This is steady and consistent; not a lot of the tracks will go down as memorable catalog pieces, but almost every one is a good listen just the same.
Rolling guitar work bolsters "Slippery Stairs," both "Miriam" and "The Crypt" are strong, and a host of other tracks leave their mark: "The Storm," "Mansion in Sorrow," "Broken Glass," "More Than Pain," and "The Wheelchair".
Long-time KD fans will enjoy the final few spoken words at album's end. Patented, twisted King...
