Kamelot--Dominion (1996/Noise)
Rating--8.3
Birth of a Hero--RealAudio
More contained than the debut, though there is less overall agression. A bit more melodic in places---but still extremely good power/prog,
as the Conception sounds continue. Good, Tate-like vocals, though not quite as deep.
"Heaven" is a strong lead cut, with a nice chorus. The slow pulse and drive of "One Day I'll Win" is powerful, and is balanced
by the swift and rolling notes of "We Are Not Separate".
"Song of Roland" is good, and the disc's best track surfaces in the
form of "Birth of a Hero"; an excellent, rolling chorus, and weighty throughout.
Album three from these Florida merchants will
see the addition of Roy Khan (from Conception), as he takes over the vocal duties...
