Dissident Aggressor--RealAudio
Not one of my favorite Priest discs overall, though it still contains a couple of great cuts. The sound
continues to evolve a bit, but the full-fledged killer instinct still isn't here, as the band seems to have actually taken a step back
from the 'Sad Wings' sessions. However, new ground is covered that will eventually lead to much heavier material for the boys.
"Sinner" and "Dissident Aggressor" are classics, and "Starbreaker" and "Raw Deal" are overlooked in Priest's repertoire.
Also contains a solid rendition of Joan Baez's "Diamonds and Rust," which the band will keep in its live catalog off and on
for years...
HOT CHOPS--Rob's background screams during the chorus of "Dissident Aggressor".
When Slayer covered this tune on its 'South of Heaven' disc, the band recorded that part by
hitting a high note on the guitar. Heh heh. Some days you feel like a Rob, some days you don't...
