On the Run--RealAudio
Some fans say they don't really favor this Priest album, but I've grown to love a number of the tracks on it. Not as heavily-written... but some great arrangements. In fact, the songwriting on this one is probably more advanced than 'British Steel'. There are a lot more melodic incorporations, both with the music and the vocals. However, as always, it's still unmistakably Priest.
Highlights include the old-school "Heading out to the Highway," the faster "Solar Angels" and "On the Run," and the smoother and more moving tracks "Turning Circles" and "Desert Plains."
HOT CHOPS--The chorus to "Turning Circles" is some of Rob's best catalog work. It doesn't necessarily show his range-- but rather, his emotion. The vocal chorus to "On the Run" is just as impressive, as his transitional range is put on full display.
