Delivering the Goods--RealAudio
This album has a bit of a more polished sound than the group's previous offerings, but still manages to contain some of the unit's all-time top cuts. The band tinkers with some new styles here that will end up being Priest trademarks, including some of thei tongue-in-cheek and whips-and-chains humor, as shown in "Evil Fantasies". Other strong highlights include the fast-paced, energetic title track, the rolling and crushing "Delivering the Goods," "Burnin' Up," "Killing Machine," "Running Wild," and an excellent quasi-ballad---"Before the Dawn".
Heavy, tight guitar playing throughout. Also on the disc in an absolutely ripping cover of Fleetwood Mac's "The Green Manalishi".
As a collector's sidenote, the album was titled "Killing Machine" in Europe, but got switched in the U.S.
HOT CHOPS--Rob's two wails toward the end of the solo in "Delivering the Goods," and then how the band gallops through the remainder of the song. Pure power. "We'll beat you to submission, so you might as well surrender..."
The title track is the ultimate show-stopper. Pure adrenaline!
