Jag Panzer--The Age of Mastery (1998/Century Media)
Rating--8.2

Sworn to Silence--RealAudio
A good followup to 1997's solid 'The Fourth Judgment'. Flashes of speed are shown at times, but it's more along the lines of good-old-fashioned, standard power metal. The Panzer axemen pull off some of the best lead runs in the business, showing that soloing is indeed not a forgotten art. Harry Conklin continues to be one of the most underrated vocalists as well.
The rolling and heavy "Sworn to Silence" is excellent throughout, with a vox-driven, caustic chorus. A good chunk riff and pulse moves "False Messiah," and "Viper" is prowling and heavy, with a sustained drive.
Other strong tracks include the title track, "Displacement," "Chain of Command," "Burning Heart," and the Camelot-tinged themes of "The Moors."
Not as good as its predecessor, but still solid.
