Ivanhoe--Visions... and Reality

Ivanhoe--Visions... and Reality (1994/Music Is Intelligence) Rating--7.0

Progessive metal, with hints at groups such as Queensryche, House of Spirits, and Dream Theater. The band is not quite up to those levels, though, as the tunes can be a bit disjointed at times. Vocally, LaBrie is occasionally brought to mind.
Time changes move throughout "Deeper Ground," while both "Fallen Reasons" and "Rebellion and Indecision" are good.
"Miracles of a Master's Child" has some tight riffing, and the high-hat drive of "Left Alone" lets it stand out.
