Into the Light--Into the Light (2000/Frontiers) Rating--7.5

A project collaboration between vocalist Kelly Hansen (Hurricane, Unruly Child) and guitarist Tim Donahue. Donahue plays a fretless electric guitar, and his chops are sharp and cutting. His sound and style seems to rest somewhere between Satriani and Neil Schon, and overall this is a decent melodic metal/hard rock release.
A number of tracks are solid, with several standing out: The energetic and moving "No Turning Away," the strong "Time to Run," and the nasty pull-offs and grinding of "Devil in Her Eyes".
