Iron Savior--Interlude (1999/Noise) Rating--8.2

Five live tracks from Germany's Wacken festival, four new studio tracks, and a cover of Judas Priest's "Desert Plains".
The live tracks are all taken from the band's debut disc, and feature very tight playing---almost studio-like in quality.
From the new cuts, "Contortions of Time" has a thumping chorus, and "The Hatchet of War" is a fast and heavy song. "Stonecold" has a nice strafing, slower-gallop effect, and the band's cover of "Desert Plains" is fairly straight forward, with a reverb-effect to the vocals adding a nice touch.
