Immolation--Failures for Gods (1999/Metal Blade)

Death metal, and on the lower end of the scale, unfortunately. The vocals are gurgly, the distortion muddled, and the double-bass work even more hectic
than the norm. That leads to little flow among the riffing and drumwork, and an overall disjointed feeling.
Some decent riff harmonics surface in "Unsaved," and the mid-level cuts include "God Made Filth," "Your Angel Died," and "The Devil I Know".
There's much better death metal for the taking, kiddies...
