At the Gates

Formed in 1990, At the Gates was one of the more melodic death metal bands to expand beyond Sweden. Similar to In Flames and other technical, ripping death bands, At the Gates played a significant role in the genre before breaking up in 1996, leading to the formation of the Haunted.
