Harem Scarem - Weight of the World (2002/Frontiers)

Weight of the World--RealAudio

Smooth vocals, and a good hard rock/melodic metal feel. There is some chord-thick distortion at times, and at this point in the band's career they remind of heavy Enuff Z'Nuff, AOR Def Leppard, and Jaded Heart. Lots of short and compact songs, but overall the mood may be a bit too happy at times...
The opening title track is strong, and the melodic "Killing Me" follows. Both "All I Want" and "Charmed Life" are good, with the spunky, early'90s Satch-like instrumental "See Saw" appearing near album's end.
