House of Lords--House of Lords (1988/RCA)
Rating--6.0
Greg Guiffria and Chuck Wright team up here, and the resulting product is heavy in keyboards, but also with distortion that
holds its own. There are Graham Bonnet-like, soaring vocals--which are also a bit reminiscent of David Glen Eisley.
Opening
track "Pleasure Palace" is good, and a blues start to "Lookin' For Strange" eventually gives way to a heavy and fast, all-out
feel.
"Slip of the Tongue" is faster and romping, and the thick and majestic "Hearts of the World" is another highlight.
