Hellfueled - Volume One
(2004/Sanctuary) |
||
|
Hailing from Sweden, Hellfueled is a band that
is Ozzy Osbourne incarnate -- the vocals are like the
Ozzman in his absolute prime, the guitar work smacks
of Zakk Wylde, and the songwriting is a mixture of the
Randy and ‘No More Tears’ eras. A bit more on the
vocals: the similarity is uncanny; the voice
inflection, power, melody, bite, everything.
Add the fact that the songwriting is actually very
impressive here, and any/all fans of not only Osbourne
but also straight-forward metal in general will find a
ton to appreciate. The songs are succinct and to the
point, with most of them checking in around three to
four minutes each. But all are highlights, which
helps overlook the somewhat brevity of the overall
offering. TRACK LIST: Let Me Out/Midnight Lady/Second Deal/Someone Lives Inside/Eternal/Mindbreaker/Sunrise/Live My Life/Rock n’ Roll/Break Free/Hunt Me Down
