Destined For Glory--RealAudio
More of the same from Hammerfall, as they take a warrior's-approach thematically, and forge chord-and-chorus laden power metal with its music. Not as heavy-handed and thick as the previous 'Legacy of Kings,' though.
Opener "Templars of Steel" is steady, and swifter cuts include "Living in Victory" and "The Champion".
"Destined for Glory" is a rolling highlight, and the nasty pre-solo chops of the title track are good. The paced and strong "A Legend Reborn" closes out the disc.
With the same formula for all three albums being the status quo thus far, it might be time to add a little variety: a true story-woven concept album, perhaps. The talent and sound are there; the band just needs to be wary of repetition.
