Hammerfall--I Want Out (1999/Nuclear Blast)
Rating--8.0

Man on the Silver Mountain--RealAudio
A three-track EP, and a definite for Hammerall fans. Good stuff; the rating of 8.0 is only due to the number of songs, not the quality. This is consistent with everything else the band has done, in terms of distortion sound, playing "tightness," and so forth.
The disc namesake, of course, comes from the cover of the Helloween classic. The band gives a strong performance, and the influence is obvious. One of the band's originals is second, in "At the End of the Rainbow". A rocking, flowing groove cover of Rainbow's "Man on the Silver Mountain" wraps the disc up. While vocally not the same as Dio, this is still a good job---especially on the musical end!
