Heavenly - Dust to Dust (2004/Noise)
Rating - 7.9

A speed/power band that is obviously trying to emulate the Gamma Ray sound, there are also bits of Sonata Arctica in Heavenly’s delivery. The vocals lose a bit of their clarity in the higher octaves; musically the band knows their instruments inside and out. Several good tracks stand tall, but others get lost amongst any number of choices from the above-mentioned European groups.
Some strong vocal melodies make "Lust for Life" a winner, and some tasty mid-track guitar work puts a spotlight on "Keepers of the Earth."
"Hands of Darkness" is a solid instrumental, and both "Kingdom Come" and "Victory" keep up the pace as well. If you enjoy Sonata Arctica and the happier moments from Gamma Ray and Blind Guardian, this is a disc to grab.
