Gonna Getcha--RealAudio
Sharp and catchy, and for the most part the band lays off the cheesy lyrics. Pretty much the pinnacle of the band's success (its cover of "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" withstanding). Not as raw and all-out heavy as some of its earliest material, but enough riffs to definitely rock. Unfortunately, the success of this disc would lead to a slower and more commercial feel on the followup...
Slashing and backbeat riffs highlight both "Gonna Getcha" and "All Over Now," and the slow crunch of "On the Edge" is solid throughout. Blues-based rocker "Mistreater" is an overlooked tune in the band's catalog, giving way to such songs as the slower but still solid "Rock Me." The magnificent acoustic-based ballad "Save Your Love" closes the disc in strong fasion--- one of metal's all-time heart-pulling highlights.
While not spectacular in any particular area, this album simply boasts a collection of solid heavy rock/metal cuts. No real fillers; a great spin.
