Guild of Ages--One (1998/MTM)
Rating--7.3

An almost progressive feel, as there are nice technical riffs mixed throughout. Some of the late career, heavier Winger is a comparison for a portion of the tracks, as well as some light Dokken. At other times the band walks near the edge of a band like Elegy, and then backs off to someone like Journey. A nice blend, but I personally feel they would be better off in the long run getting (staying?) a bit meaner.
"Live to Fight" has a little drive to it, and note riffs accentuate "I Believe". Other songs which make a good impression include "Into the Night," "Walk the Line," and "Something Inside."
