Nightrain--RealAudio You're Crazy--RealAudio

A really good "live" offering, as the crowd gets into the act, there are plenty of little on-stage idiosyncracies, and so on.
As with the band's career, the 'Appetite For Destruction' material remains the shining points. The difference in the band's musical direction can truly be seen when background singers, piano playing, and so forth have to be rolled out on the stage for disc #2. Whatever happened to simply just rocking out?...
In any case, a great look at the band's career, from a candid side that previously had been (offically) unavailable to its fans.
Almost all of the 'AFD' tracks crank and rule through energy, including "Mr. Brownstone," "Nightrain," "Welcome to the Jungle," and "Out Ta Get Me". A great moment is right before "It's So Easy," when Axl talks the crowd through a backing-up (away from the stage) process. Once they comply, he releases an evil croak of "Hit it...!", and the smoker is off and bumping.
Of the non-'AFD' songs, "Dust N' Bones" is good, and both "Pretty Tied Up" and the smooth "Used to Love Her" are nice rides.
"You Could Be Mine" rocks, and "You're Crazy" is a definite top spot, as the band slows it down and shifts into an easy-groove version of the song. Nice! Man... would have loved to have heard that cover of "Hair of the Dog," though!
A good little trip down memory lane... especially for those of us who witnessed it all in person, back in '87...
