Grave Digger--Knights of the Cross (1998/GUN)
Rating--7.0
Thematically, the band is fast becoming one of the top story-weavers in the power metal genre, and this album delves into a middle-ages state of mind. The musical
aspect of this release ends up being somewhat disappointing, however, as many tracks lack the punch and vitality of the band's surrounding releases. Still heavy for the
most part, but slower and without a substantial overall flow. True fans will definitely want it, though.
The top spots include "Monks of War," "Fanatic Assasins,"
"Lionheart," "Baphomet," and "The Battle of Bannockburn".
