Grave Digger--Heart of Darkness (1995/GUN) Rating--8.4

Lots of cutting chord and riff work, as this is a very thick and strong offering from Grave Digger. There are two slower/lighter bonus tracks tacked onto the end, but they don't detract from the solidity that comes before.
Strong and driving tunes emerge in the forms of "The Grave Dancer," "Demon's Day," and "Circle of Witches," while "Hate" is a faster-paced track. The nearly 12-minute title song moves from slow sections to tough grooving, making it another high point.
One of the band's better offerings.
