Interesting mood metal, in that the song formats are removed from the standard, and the vocals are atmospheric and somewhat mesmerizing. A note about the vox--they're female, in the vein of Drain s.t.h., and are often more along the lines of emotional or operatic yells than singing. Just takes some getting used to...
"Third Chance" has a good drive, and good riffs dot "Confusion" and "The May Song". Good guitar layerings highlight "On Most Surfaces" and "The Earth is My Witness," though overall this disc is a bit too slow-paced for everyday use.
